TCPIADMT Offers More Classes

We, as an association are so excited that the Therese C. Pfrimmer International Association of Deep Muscle Therapists is offering Basic Pfrimmer Classes as developed by Therese C. Pfrimmer and as taught by Ruthann Hobbs.

The Pfrimmer Association chose Jackie Himelick as their lead instructor. Jackie graduated from ASSTI's Pfrimmer class in 1996 and has taught Pfrimmer under Ruthann Hobbs for 17 years. The Pfrimmer class is 50 hours of CEUs with a cost of $1,550. See class description, objectives, and learning outcomes below.

Ruthann Hobbs owns the Indiana Pfrimmer Institute in Alexandria, IN and may also be  offering classes. Contact her at 765-724-7745.

Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® was developed by Therese C. Pfrimmer after her laundry work caused her to become a paraplegic. She massaged her way out of the wheelchair to the dismay of her doctor . She was then on a quest to find out how the type of massage she used worked. She developed Pfrimmer® over the time of her research and development of the technique. Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Technique® is a comprehensive method of body work that incorporates the whole body and helps troubled muscle tissue to become rich with blood and lymph fluids to encourage the body to heal itself in a natural manner.

Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® is designed to cause positive changes to the damaged or adherent muscles and the adjacent soft tissues. The improved circulation that results causes changes on the cellular level, not only to the muscle involved, but also to any soft tissue that may have been affected by the impaired circulation. Where muscles have become adherent, Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® brings blood and lymphatic fluid toward the muscle cell.

Pfrimmer® is a detailed art and is an excellent choice for those therapists that want to take their businesses to a whole new level of helping people to feel well and pain free.

We are offering the Pfrimmer Specifics which is a 10 hour class at $295 which is a continuation of Therese C. Pfrimmer's work. See the dedicated Pfrimmer Specifics web page for detail.

We are also offering Advanced Pfrimmer. This class is designed to advance Therese C. Pfrimmer’s own work in a more specific manner and to be able to use Therese C. Pfrimmer’s techniques to advance the Basic Pfrimmer technique to a more cutting-edge method. These techniques will benefit the client’s specific needs in a more precise manner. The use of the twelve additional tools presented in the class can also help the therapist experience a long and healthy Pfrimmer therapy life to reduce the risk of therapist injury or over-use syndrome. The presentation of eight different common ailments will be addressed to use with the troubleshooting techniques. Those eight common ailments will allow the Pfrimmer therapist to transfer the techniques to all other body parts and apply to other common conditions.

The Advanced Pfrimmer class is a 16 hour $495 class featuring 12 tools and working with 8 conditions. Jackie Himelick is also the instructor of this Advanced Pfrimmer class. See the detailed web page for more information on Advanced Pfrimmer.

If you think your area may be interested in sponsoring a class or you are interested in Basic Pfrimmer or Advanced Pfrimmer, please contact us through the pfrimmer.com website to request more information or through the info request below. Or, you may contact us through the "contact us" section of this website or the form below.

Why Would I Encourage a Massage Therapist to Add Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy to the List of Techniques/Therapies They Utilize

Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy quickly became my first option for my clients after I  graduated from the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in 1991.  It became apparent very quickly that, when I used the techniques and executed the philosophy and principles taught by Therese Pfrimmer, my client’s aches, pains and challenges quickly began losing center place in their lives.  Massage therapy school, in addition to meeting the basic academic requirement of Swedish Massage, introduced us to approximately forty modalities to help reduce pain and increase range of motion.  I am

extremely thankful for every modality I have in my tool box, however, nothing affects our bodies like Pfrimmer does.

Why would I suggest you receive Pfrimmer Deep Muscle training?  There simply are not enough of us! This is a modality that changes people’s lives. You will greatly enhance your ability to affect change with this modality.

I Recommend this Class

I would recommend this class to everyone who is wanting to expand their knowledge, and to anyone who wants to learn a life changing form of therapy. I think the studies speak for themselves, whenever done properly, this therapy can change lives. The course itself is top notch. The knowledge that you get from two instructors that have been through tons of real life experiences is priceless. It’s a lot of work, but I’m the end it is totally worth it.

WHY DO I SUGGEST YOU TAKE THE BASIC PFRIMMER CLASS

After having been a dental hygienist for twenty-one years, moderate to severe back pain has been my constant companion for the last five years. Besides the obvious pain caused by the spondylosis, arthritis, and bulging discs in my spine, ever present numbness in my legs and feet would cause me to fall, eventually tearing both rotator cuffs in my shoulders. After many visits to the spine specialists, steroid shots into my spine, and a great deal of physical therapy, I was told my only choice was to do surgery. No way!! I was incredibly lucky to have found a few Pfrimmer therapists who are very passionate about what they do! With everything I’ve done and been through, Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy has been the only thing to give me relief. I grew very interested in the process and wondered if it would be possible to become a therapist myself. I have many patients in my dental office who have issues with their temporomandibular joint (TMJ), so I wondered if I could help them with massage around the head/neck area. My therapist informed me that YES, indeed I could take the training, because I am a medical professional! After much deliberation, I signed up and took the class this weekend! Nervous was an understatement! The wealth of knowledge was overwhelming at times, but oh so exciting to learn! Without a doubt, I would take the class again in a heartbeat! I truly hope to further my Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy education in the future.
